tel: (425) 787-2500, fax: (425) 742-5711, EIN: 91-6073154 https://www.paws.org/

PAWS is a champion for animals - rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife, sheltering and adopting homeless cats and dogs, and educating people to make a better world for animals and people.
PAWS has launched a capital campaign to construct a campus with purpose-built animal care facilities and expanded wildlife, companion animal, and human education programs. In 2014, PAWS purchased 25 acres outright as a result of strict fiscal policies implemented by the Board of Directors to ensure the new campus would be built. The capital campaign has surpassed 70 percent of the philanthropic goal and continues to gain momentum. In 2021, we will enter the public phase of the campaign to complete the project - allowing PAWS to help even more cats, dogs, and wild animals get the critical care they need to go home and thrive..

Big City Mountaineers removes barriers to outdoor access for youth from  disinvested communities. Our mission is to instill critical life skills  in under-resourced youth through transformative wilderness mentoring  experiences. Our experiential outdoor education programs allow students  to discover the strength, resilience, and adaptability they've always  had inside them, and provide students with tools to translate those  skills into everyday life.

Practically, we work with  community-based youth development organizations to augment their  programming. We offer two programs at no cost to youth. The first is an  overnight camp for youth ages 8-12. The second is a week-long,  fully-outfitted, and professionally led wilderness backcountry  experience for youth ages 13-18. Additionally, we provide alumni with  scholarships to other experiential outdoor education opportunities from  the Alzar School, NOLS, and the Colorado Outward Bound School.
